David Morgan's first book assigment, BEACH, was shot over a dizzying 10 day production schedule on Fire Island after the sudden season exodus following Labor Day. With only 10 days slated to create the entire book Morgan assembled a small cast of 23 stunning models and friends, a talented crew with famed stylist Timothy Reukauf as production manager. On the final day of production he wanted to create a special image to include his crew in the book. SUNSET MEMORIAL is that poignant photograph.

However with moments to spare as the sun set Morgan wanted pay additional tribute to his two tireless assisants and offered to shoot them in a separate portrait for his book. They hesitated at first but when he told them what the shot would be they were honored to oblige.
