Since it's release in 1997 'ANGEL' has ascended to the top rank of poster sales. (No pun intended.) It out sells everything and it doesn't let up. Perhaps it is the allure of Angels which has made this image the photographer's strongest cross-over image. 'ANGEL' has been licensed for two productions of 'Angels in America', for greeting cards, buttons, tattoos, memorial services, wedding announcements, and as a CD cover for a dance compilation 'Dance with Angels'. Although the photograph was originally created for a club promotion in '93 the photographer has received numerous requests to rent the wings through the years. "I was never sure who made the wings. Both the model and the wing-maker were in the studio very briefly. The kid couldn't stay up on his toes. I remember the 'bird' was moulting, and goose feathers were falling all over the plexi.
